Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Your Ugandan adventure will begin as soon as you touch down at Entebbe International Airport. After customs and immigration procedures, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your guide who will transfer you to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls

After breakfast, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Murchison Falls National Park. Once you get to the park, you will go hike at the top of the falls to witness the magnificent Falls where the mighty Nile River squeezes through a 7m gorge before plunging 43m.

You will then head to your lodge where you will spend the night overlooking the mighty Nile.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat ride Murchison Falls National Park

After your morning meal, you will embark on an early morning game drive, keep an eye out for lions, elephants, giraffes, and more.

The park’s unique blend of savanna and forest environments means diverse animal sightings. The game drive will take about 4 hours and then return to your lodge for lunch.

Later in the afternoon, you will go for a boat ride to the foot of Murchison Falls and this offers a different perspective of the park. You will have an opportunity to see hippos, Nile crocodiles, and an array of bird species.

At around 5:30 pm, the boat trip will be done and you will return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight; Paraa Lodge/Pakuba Safari Lodge/Murchison River Lodge

Day 4: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park

You will travel through verdant landscapes on your way to Kibale National Park, a haven for primates. The journey provides beautiful vistas of Uganda’s countryside.

Lunch will be served at a restaurant within Hoima town. In the evening, you will have reached Fort Portal to access and check into your chosen lodge for dinner and night.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest

You will drive to Kanyanchu for briefing. You will then join a knowledgeable guide for an unforgettable trek in search of our closest relatives, the chimpanzees. The search for the chimpanzee will take 1-2 hours.

When you reach them, you will witness these fascinating creatures how dramatic, lively, and intelligent they are in their natural habitat, along with a variety of other primates.

At the completion of the trekking experience, you will return to your lodge for lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will visit Bigodi to do a nature walk through the wetland encountering different monkey species and loads of birds.

You will also dive into the local community by visiting local markets, schools, and women’s centers to know how they go about their lives.

Dinner and Overnight: Kibale Forest Camp/Chimpanzee Guesthouse/Turaco Treehouse/Crater Safari Lodge/Papaya Lake Lodge

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its biodiversity. You will have lunch in Kasese and then enter the park for a short game drive looking for the common mammals.

You will then head to your lodge to have dinner and prepare for the following day’s adventures.

Day 7: Exploring Queen Elizabeth N.P

In the morning, you will embark on a game drive across the open savannah, in the shadows of the Rwenzori Mountains. You will Look out for lions, buffaloes, elephants, and elusive leopards. Early afternoon, you will be led back to your lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will go for a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel which will provide close encounters with hippos, crocodiles, and a plethora of bird species.

At the completion of the boat ride, you will revert to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay: Twins Lake Safari Lodge/Mweya Safari Lodge/Enjojo Lodge/Ishasha Jungle Lodge

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi

After a sumptuous breakfast in the morning, you will journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This ancient rainforest is home to half of the world’s mountain gorillas.

You will have an en-route lunch in Kihihi and continue till you reach your lodge in Bwindi.

Day 9: Gorilla Tracking Experience

One of the safari highlights will be today’s gorilla tracking adventure which will start early morning. You will venture deep into the forest to observe these gentle giants in their natural habitat. A truly magical experience. You will observe their social characters as well as take their pictures and videos.

After an hour of interaction with the gorillas, you will exit the forest to meet your driver-guide to return to your lodge for lunch. Early Evening, you will go for a community walk to visit hospitals, markets, hangout places, and less privileged children and women’s centers.

After the village walk, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight:Mahogany Springs/Bwindi Lodge/Agaandi Lodge/Gorilla Safari Lodge/Icumbi Lodge

Day 10: Lake Bunyonyi Adventures

After breakfast, you will travel to the picturesque Lake Bunyonyi. You will enjoy a serene boat ride to explore the islands dotted across the lake after lunch. Revel in the lake’s tranquility and its stunning surrounding terraced hills.

You will return and settle into your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay: Arcadia Lodge/Birds Nest Resort

Day 11: Travel to Lake Mburo National Park

In the morning, you will sign out of the Kigezi region to lead to Lake Mburo National Park. On your way, you will make a stopover in Mbarara for lunch and proceed to check into your lodge.

After you will experience an evening mini-game drive, offering chances to see zebras, impalas, and elands.

Dinner and Overnight: Rwakobo Rock Lodge/Eagles Nest

Day 12: Explore Lake Mburo N.P on a Game Drive and Boat Ride

In the morning, you will engage in a game drive exploring the park’s diverse habitats, which promise sightings of buffalos, antelopes, and more.

You will get back to your lodge for lunch and relax as you wait for the boat ride.

Later in the afternoon, you will go for a boat ride on Lake Mburo which offers an opportunity to see crocodiles, hippos, and birds like African Fish Eagles and Pied Kingfishers.

You will finish your boat ride in the evening and return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight: Rwakobo Rock Lodge/Eagles Nest

Day 13: Return to Entebbe

After breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive back to Entebbe. Reflect on your adventures and memories as you prepare for your onward journey, marking the end of your incredible Ugandan safari.
