3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Tour
A 3-day gorilla tour in Rwanda is a great way to see gorillas in Volcanoes National Park.
Besides gorilla tracking, there is time for a cultural tour and overnight at Iby’Iwacu cultural village.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali to Volcanoes National Park
When you arrive at Kigali airport in the morning your guide will first take you for a half-day tour of Kigali city to visit the genocide memorial center and the marketplace. You will have lunch at a fancy restaurant, and later in the afternoon transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
Dinner and overnight at Da Vinci Lodge/ La Bambou Lodge/ Muhabura Hotel
Day 2: Gorilla tracking and visit Iby’iwacu cultural village
After breakfast, you will head to Kinigi visitor center to meet other visitors for a briefing. A cup of coffee is served as local dancers entertain you. Afterward, you will head to the forest edge and start hiking through the forest.
Trekking can take 3-5 hours but it is worth it to spend 1 hour face-to-face with gorillas in their natural habitat.
The gorillas are such intriguing animals to observe, you might think that they are humans in the way they show compensation to one another.
At the end of the gorilla tracking experience, you will get back to your lodge for lunch and later in the afternoon, you will go for a cultural walk at Iby’Iwacu cultural village.
There are many activities such as visiting the king’s house where you dress as king and queen, learning how to cook or use herbs as medicine, and visiting BaTwa. To have a cultural encounter, we recommend visiting it in the evening and also spending some nighttime at the Iby’iwacu cultural village rather than visiting in the afternoon time.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali
After breakfast, you will embark on the drive that will bring you back to Kigali city for departure.
