3 Days Lowland gorilla tracking
The 3-day Congo short gorilla trekking safari is bound to appeal to visitors who want to see Eastern lowland gorillas which are less than 300 in numbers left.
The trip includes 2 nights in superb accommodation in Kahuzi Beiga National Park located in the Bukavu Area of Eastern DRC between Congo basin rainforests and Albertine Rift Valley one of the most biologically diverse areas on earth.
It is home to 136 mammals, 349 species of birds, and 13 primates including chimpanzees. You will have a chance to explore the flora and fauna during the waterfall nature walk.

Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Bukavu eastern DR Congo
Early morning, your guide will pick you up in Kigali and drive 5-6 hours to Cyangungu where you will cross the border to your lodge in Bukavu Kahuzi Beiga National Park DR Congo.
On the way, you will make brief stop-overs at Nyanza King’s Palace and the National Museum of Rwanda in Butare.
After lunch, you will proceed to DR Congo to have rest, dinner, and overnight at your lodge. Hotel horizon/ orchid safari lodge
Day 2: Kahuzi Biega Eastern Low Land gorilla tracking
Early morning with a packed lunch, you will embark on the adventure of tracking eastern lowland gorillas with experienced guides. You will be allowed for 1-3 hours to admire and take pictures of the gorillas.
You will eat your lunch boxes and go for a waterfall walk an opportunity to observe flora and fauna of Kahuzi Biega National Park. There are more than 300 tropical birds and several monkeys. You will come back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: return back to Kigali
After breakfast, you will depart for a tour of Bukavu town passing through tea estates of Mbayo on your way back to Kigali.
