5 Days Rwanda Uganda Safari with gorilla trekking in

This safari includes gorilla tracking in the UNESCO world heritage site Bwindi rain forest, game drive safari and boat cruises in Queen Elizabeth national park. This safari starts in Kigali because from the airport it takes 3-5 hours drive easy access to Bwindi rainforest southwestern Uganda than it would take 9-10 hours when you arrive at Entebbe airport Uganda.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at Kigali airport and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park
Arrival passed 4:00pm means you will spend a night in Kigali. When you arrive in the morning, you will visit Kigali genocide memorial and kaplacki craft markets before transfer to southwestern Uganda-Ruhija south of Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, a UNESCO world heritage site. You may have dinner and overnight at Bakiga lodge/ Broadbill forest camp/ gorilla mist camp
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking and Village Walk
You will wake up for breakfast. Your guide will make sure you are at the gorilla tracking center by 07:30am in the morning. Guides will brief you and take you into the forest looking for gorillas. Trekking can take 3 or more than 5 hours but you will be able to enjoy 1 hour with gorillas in their natural habitats. Return for lunch at the lodge. A village walk is recommended if you have the energy or you may stay at the lodge and the staff can invite local dancers for traditional cultural entertainment.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
After breakfast, depart Bwindi for Queen Elizabeth national park (5-7 hours drive. You will pass through Ishasha plains to spot tree climbing lions after which you proceed to your lodge in or outside the park. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation Enganzi lodge/ Mweya safari lodge/ park view safari lodge
Day 4: game drive and boat cruise Queen Elizabeth national park
At 06:30am after a cup of tea and snacks your guide will take you to kasenyi game tracks. You have chances to spot wildlife such as lions, African elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and several species of antelopes like Uganda kob, eland. In the afternoon, you have a boat cruise on Kazinga channel another chance to spot hippos, crocodiles and many water birds. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Kampala
After breakfast, embark on the journey to Kampala (6-7 hours drive). On the way, you will make a stop in Mbarara Uganda’s 2nd largest city. Lunch will be served at igongo cultural museum. After wards on your way towards Kampala you will male another stop at equator monument for photos. You will reach Kampala in the evening and transfer to your preferred place/ lodge.
