Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Nairobi airport and Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve

When you arrive at Nairobi airport, our guide/driver will welcome you and take you to a nearby tourist spot to refresh and brief you about the safari.

Afterwards, you will transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve (5-6 hours drive). The journey goes through the beautiful scenery of the East African Rift Valley. You will arrive at the eastern entrance of the park for a security check and continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game Viewing And Evening Cultural Tour Masa village

Early morning, you will embark on a game drive through Masai Mara looking for the big five mammals (lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos). When you get to Mara River you will have a lunch break.

While at Mara River, you will have the possibility of witnessing the wildebeest migration, crocodiles, and hippos and this will entirely depend on the time of your safari.

In the afternoon, you will resume your game drive and later evening visit the Maasai village known as Cattle Warriors. You will visit their homestead, get to witness their daily life, listen to their stories, shop for craft items, and lastly enjoy a traditional performance from them.

In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Nairobi, Fly to Kigali airport, and Travel to Volcanoes National Park

After the early morning breakfast, you will depart Maasai Mara to Nairobi airport from where you will board a charter plane and fly to Kigali International Airport.

The flight takes 2 hours. Your guide will be ready to welcome you and transfer you to Volcanoes National Park, North of Rwanda. (2 hours drive from Kigali). You will arrive in the evening at your lodge to check in, have dinner, and spend a night.

Day 4: Rwanda Gorilla Tracking and Cultural Tour

Gorilla tracking starts early morning, You will be required to be at the starting point Kinigi visitor center by 8:00 am where park ranger will brief you on gorilla rules.

Then you will start your gorilla trekking experience in Rwanda and chances of seeing gorillas are 100% guaranteed.  When you reach the locality of the gorillas, you will spend 1-hour taking photos and learning about their natural life.

At the end, you will return to your lodge for lunch and in the evening visit the Iby’Iwacu cultural village to learn about Rwandan traditional ways of living.

The culture center anchors almost all traditional cultures that exist in the country. Therefore, you have a glorious opportunity of how the ancient people of Rwanda before modernization led their lives.

Day 5: Travel Back to Kigali For a city tour and departure
After breakfast, you will travel back to Kigali. if time permits, you will have a tour of the Kigali genocide memorial and visit a local market to shop for some curios before your departure flight which will mark the end of your safari.
