3 Days Gorilla Trekking Tour Rwanda


This 3 days Uganda safari is focused on gorilla tracking or habituation experience in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, a UNESCO world heritage site home to half of mountain gorilla population in the world (about 400 individuals). There are four centers in Bwindi namely Buhoma, Ruhija, Nkuringo or Rushaga. Visitors can choose to visit one of them and stay for 2 nights. This safari starts and ends in Kampala city

    Day 1: transfer Kampala to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park
    Early morning you will get ready for 9-10 hours drive from Kampala/ Entebbe to Bwindi with your guide. On the way you will make brief stopovers at the equator monument for photos and experiments and then have lunch en route at Igongo cultural museum in Mbarara city. After lunch, continue the road through beautiful scenery of Kigezi highlands to Bwindi for overnight at sanctuary gorilla forest camp/ gorilla mist camp.

    Day 2: Bwindi Gorilla tracking
    After breakfast early morning at 07:30am you must be at the visitor center to attend briefing on gorilla rules and know the gorilla family you are likely to visit. You will be put in a group of 8 people then hike through the forest and spend 1 hour with gorillas once they are found. Return for lunch and relaxation.
    In the afternoon, there are two activities which you can do. You may go for a nature walk to the waterfalls or take a village walk. Dinner and overnight at your lodge

    Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala/ Entebbe
    After breakfast, you will depart Bwindi driving back to Kampala. En route lunch in Mbarara and also visit the equator again. If your departure flight is on today, you will be transferred to Entebbe airport.
